Bone cancer is a result of malignant abnormal growths from bone tumors (neoplastic growth of tissue in the bone). They are rather uncommon but malignancy is probable from metastases in the bones. There are primary cancers of the bone, such as osteosarcoma. There are also secondary cancers of the bone such as metastases where the cancer cells arise from a different primary location such as from the breast, lung, and prostate. Common symptoms of bone cancer are pain and swelling in a bone region, weight loss, night sweats, fractures at the site of the tumor, fatigue, fevers, and chills.
